How to interpret the numbers
- Select the year: the regular monthly earnings threshold is €603 in 2026 and €633 in 2027.
- Enter your real gross hourly wage. The general statutory minimum is €13.90 in 2026 and €14.60 in 2027, subject to specific legal exceptions.
- Enter normal weekly hours. The calculation assumes 52 working weeks spread over 12 months.
- Check the expected regular earnings. Other jobs, bonuses and special circumstances may affect whether employment qualifies as a minijob.
A minijob is not the same as freelance neighborhood help
- A registered minijob is a form of employment. Taking on a task through EasyJob does not automatically create a minijob.
- Independent or repeated services may be self-employment with separate registration, tax and insurance rules.
- The calculation is gross only; it does not calculate tax, pension contributions or net earnings.
- Exceptions may apply when earnings exceed the limit unexpectedly. Ask the Minijob-Zentrale for an individual assessment.
Where can I look for actual employment?
EasyJob lists user-published local tasks, not guaranteed employment vacancies. For regular jobs or registered minijobs, the public employment agency provides an independent jobs search. EasyJob does not republish those listings.
